Michael M. Sellers is a 1967 graduate of
the University of Iowa College of Law and has been licensed to practice
law in Iowa since then. He is a former elected county attorney,
administrative assistant and extradition officer for Governor Robert D.
Ray, Commissioner of the Iowa Department of Public Safety, and general
trial and administrative law practitioner. Mr. Sellers manages all
aspects of administrative and general law proceedings, including
extensive agency hearings, District Court trials and appeals to the
Iowa Court of Appeals and the Iowa Supreme Court.
Mr. Sellers has legal consultation relationships with attorneys in a
multitude of other states who have extensive experience in
administrative law and in working with state agencies particularly in
the area of professional licensing.
John O. Haraldson is a 1992 graduate
of the University of Iowa College of Law and has been licensed to
practice law in Iowa since then. He is a trial attorney who appears
before the Iowa District Courts, the Southern and Northern Iowa Federal
Courts, the Iowa Supreme Court, and the Eighth Circuit Court of
Appeals. He is a sole practitioner who deals primarily with employment
law. Mr. Haraldson also litigates issues involving civil rights and
discrimination law, including sexual harassment, gender, race, national
origin, constitutional law, employee benefits, punitive damages,
disability discrimination, and other forms of discrimination. Mr.
Haraldson also has substantial experience in labor and employment law,
as well as miscellaneous general practice matters.
Delbert C. Binford is a 1963
graduate of Drake University Law School and has been licensed to
practice law in Iowa since then. He is eligible to appear before the
Eighth Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Tax Court. After being
associated with several large firms in the Des Moines area for nearly
three decades, he has been a sole practitioner for the last 17 years.
He handles legal matters pertaining to personal injury, property
damage, real estate, profit and non-profit corporations, minor criminal
cases, and federal and state income, estate, and inheritance taxes. Mr.
Binford has worked in the trust department of a local bank and also
served on the City of Clive Planning Commission. Mr. Binford is
currently semi-retired.
Jered Headrick is a full-time law clerk who
handles all aspects of case investigation, research and writing, case
management, strategizing, and planning. Mr. Headrick regularly attends
all appearances, depositions, and hearings. His undergraduate education
is in business management, with a specialization in marketing and
corporate management, and he is currently in a M.P.A. program with a
focus on health.
Patricia Wilson is a legal assistant for Mr.
Sellers. She is knowledgeable regarding the unique procedures and
extensive documentation involved in complex administrative and general
law. She also handles all accounting matters for the office.
Kristina Headrick is a legal assistant for Mr.
Sellers with prior experience in the insurance industry. Kristina
manages all aspects of communication between our office and agencies
and courts, as well as organizes all pending cases and performs all of
the procedures associated with administrative and civil filings and
scheduling. Kristina is responsible for preparing all of the
documentation required for our guardianships, conservatorships, wills,
probate, and real estate transactions.
